Angsana Velavaru, Meedhoo (Dhaalu Atoll)

I had the chance to stay at this hotel near the seaplane terminal in Male before heading to the resort. The Beach Rooms were a true gem, each boasting their private pool and a huge backyard, creating a private oasis. While the room quality was top-notch, having to switch rooms and pay extra was a downside to the overall experience.

The hotel rooms are right on the beach, built directly on the house reef without contact to the island, immaculate with a private swimming pool and deck area. The staff are working professionals but not very apologizing. They proceeded to give me reasons instead of apologizing. Despite this, they pampered us with the most delicious food. The location is on the main island, huge that you need to see it to believe, beautifully decorated with candles and lanterns. The dining offers a massive spread of exotic fruits, pancakes, various continental dishes, and good food selection overall. Facilities are top-notch with a completed pool and lovely decked area. A few downsides include miserable service and lack of variety in dining.

My stay at the hotel was absolutely fantastic. The rooms were beautifully appointed and the service was spectacular. Despite being fully booked for our dates, they managed everything seamlessly. The hotel truly exceeded my expectations.

Staying at the hotel was a dream come true. The rooms were absolutely perfect with the added bonus of a tranquil Zen Garden accessed by sliding dividers. However, there were a few missing amenities compared to the first room I stayed in, like no pillows outside or towel holder. On the bright side, the room's location was ideal, right opposite the in-pool villas where you could enjoy watching the sea planes landing. The serene atmosphere added to the overall charm of the stay.
